Madonna was a big star and showed the world a hint of what was going on in the clubs of NYC. as for Madonna voguing she never really got it , it was the xtravaganza's in the video that turned it! ( Jose and Louis) furthermore this song came out before Madonnas Vogue .

@noahsarcooo: Willie Ninja headlined the Deep in Vogue tour with Mclaren, and though it is an unpublished fact, he was the one to show Madonna vogueing, though declined to tour with her. In this video you see Benjamin Ninja (the man in the blazer and base ball cap) he was one of Willie's children, and can also be scene vogueing with Wille @ Susanne Bartsch's Love Ball in 1990 (the ball you see in Paris is Burning as well), in addition to being in the "Deep in Vogue" music video.

I don't like this choreographed voguing, each dancer should do thier own thing, it should be free from the constrates of a set routine otherwise (as in this case) it looks like the performance has been practised and learned. The guy in front has some good moves but the whole thing doesn't work.
