  • You wrote: "What level of retard do you have to be to ask that question?" This question already implies, that the person you are adressing it to (i.e.: me) is a "retard", it clearly shows, that you have put yourself above me. The tone of your comment is determined by the words used and structure. Then it is also obvious that the rainbow bass is not in the video, so my question was answered when it was asked and therefore didn't require an answer, therefore it is a rhethorical question.

  • Half the sound that comes out of Les' bass is percussive. He is his own drummer. One of his unique abilities is to blend that percussiveness so seamlessly with the drummer.

  • Rancho relaxed..........

    Is it a Fender ?

  • @FlatwoundProductions

Way to sound like an uppity douche.

  • it's a 70s jazz bass, which are known for their brightness... but it's that sharp brightness that I love about the 70s jazzes :P

  • the rainbow bass is a Carl Thompson made bass.

  • cool dude, thanks for the info

  • He puts EMG's in them

  • I love jazz slap tone, but not les', too harshly bright, i love his old CT, i think les and his CT are the best combo

  • a big part of les' weed-killing (but awesome) tone must be the pickups on his carl thompson' or something.
