Stan Ridgway with Wall Of Voodoo. 1982 - Call of The West Tour Stan Ridgway intros the original WOV band into their avant neo -electro KROQ cover of Johnny Cash's Ring Of Fire on a late night Boston TV show. Joe Nanini on drums, Marc Morelnad on guitar, Chas Gray on keys and Bill Noland on keys and trumpet at the end. Genius and the new kids are sad. Eat this American Idol. Original!

I saw him back in March of this year, and yes, they did ROF. It was the Stan Ridgway Trio with Pietra Wextun on synth and Rick King electric guitar. They nailed this perfectly. In addition to Rick's guitar, Stan played acoustic guitar and got it to make feedback towards the end of the song. I've never heard acoustic guitar feedback before and it was cool. If you don't catch Stan et al when you can, you'll later regret it (even if this particular song is not in the lineup that night).
