This is the easiest way I could get .MOV files to work with Sony Vegas 9.

Quicktime 7.6.2 Software- http://www.brothersoft.com/quicktime-43141.html
Re-name it program- http://www.beroux.com/english/softwares/renameit/

  • when i do this my audio is out of sync any help???

  • if u select the video by click on it

you can press the letter "U" on your keyboard

and it will separate the audio from the video

then you can drag the audio to match with

    the movie or vise versa,

I'd need more info to solve your problem

it could be a Quick Time problem

what type of camera are you using?

what version of Quick Time do you have?

What version of Sony Vegas do you use?

  • great song men!

  • thanks man ur vid really fucking helped me. thanks a bunch!

  • hi

  • @SanityGlitch

    THANKS :)))

  • Thanks! That was really help full!

  • All I needed to do was uninstall quicktime and install version 7.6.2, after that vegas plays .mov perfect.

  • the first file i converted worked with siny vegas but all my other files wont work!

it says that stream attributes could not be determed.

  • You don't need a converter, all you do is go to Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Folder Options (Show Hidden Files) & then remove the tick mark beside "Hide extensions for known file types" & you're done.

  • FUCK YOU

  • it works without a converter.. just download 7.6.2

    and tipe faster !

  • OH man!! Video production is gonna go up, up, up! Thanks, man!

  • THX!!

  • thank you so much. you have saved me sooo much time. props

  • Thanks man!

Worked fine with just the older version! :D

    Appreciate a LOT!!

  • What's the song???? Nice video btw =D

  • this is horrible ! you can just download quicktime 7.6.2 ! trust me it works , i litterally JUST did it

  • FUCKING RETARD!!!!

  • Oh, and another remarkable thing *.* I am able to open all .MOV files after I have one avi, file open... very strange, never happened before!

  • Thanks mate! It worked, but not with a .mp4. I use avi, but it gets kinda stuck sometimes, but you've helped me out loads! ^^

  • Omg ty it works :) so HAPPY

  • Yees Thank You! I finally got video and not only sound on my MOV-files recorded with my Canon PowerShot SX200 IS :) :) :) Strange that Vegas Pro 9.0 isn't compatible with the newest version of QuickTime :S

  • @romainlange Really annoying, huh? I've tried everything I know to do. Now I'm taking the raw video, putting it into Super (a free program you can download), re-rendering all the files into .wmv (with Super-which takes quite a while and doesn't consistently result in matched audio), and then putting them into Vegas. A simple solution for this would be great. Even a complex one would be fine, as long as ultimately, I can open the video files in Vegas and have them work with matched audio.

  • @strive4impact Same problem :-\
