@dravenack You have to understand: NIU is in the middle of a cornfield. For us to have been associated with such prestigious schools insofar as getting Moscow...it's worth being proud of. Kathryn is truly a great teacher.

This is a short documentary by the communication dept. at NIU....it's not like she solicited filmmakers to make an attetntion grabber for herself..if she needed to feed her ego she would be in NYC teaching...not in the middle of a cornfield in Illinois...I have been working pretty consistently since training with her...wish you had had a similar experience...disagree with the narcissism comment completely..

You got that right. Amazing ...no. Narcissist.... yes.

Do not let her tear you down. She is tough and sometimes in a demoralizing, soul crushing way.

Yea, I'm studying with her at NIU right now. It's incredible. I've never experienced anything so intense. I've come to class shaking because I know that she will see right through my attempts and be able to critique me perfectly. I leave every class overwhelmed by all that I have learned.

I took a class from her at the ITS fest this year, and it was AMAZING. And she gave me the best acting compliment of my LIFE. Seriously, I am never going to forget it. So so sooo incredible. And she taught me so much in just the hour and a half the class took. Unforgetable.

But what she says is true. She is incredibly talented, and has a natural ability for what she does. I don't find her egotistical at all..she just knows her strengths and weaknesses very well, which is what anyone in the business needs to know and capitalize on. You can't be modest in this business.
I really admire her, and love to see her teach our actors.
