The world is always ready to receive talent with open arms. Very often it does not know what to do with genius.
Jimi wanted what he was... a genius. But he didn't have a chance to rest . The biz pushed him somewhere else. Williams tragedy was girlfriends.

Such is the nature of any artform rrdrums. Fame is an entirely different ordeal. I hope you are not connecting the two. By James Joyces definition of art, most music is pornographic, which is not to say that it is not "good"pornography. It moves you, you want to possess it etc. This music is more an artform (not for the masses(dance crowd, happy feet etc.). It is an audio art that is "beheld" in static being. Most sheeple like to be led. Good dance music. Folks can participate etc. Thats all.

When envy takes control of a person it can create reality delusions of a tragic sort. The idea of trying to sway public opinion with bitter critique of the extraordinary is darkness. Swaying it with the music is the light and the power. If what you do makes no one angry then you haven't done a thing. Critics are simply approval junkies who belong more in a political setting than a musical one. They missed their calling.

If Gadd had played with hendrix then jimi would probably still be alive. Gadd is exactly what Jimi longed for but never got. A drummer that could hold his own without leaning on his time. But I suspect you will reject that claim because music doesn't occur to you without heroins influence.

That wouldhave been a great thing indeed, the opposite would have been surprising, though it happens that huge talents can't get along, very often. n the other hand, Buddy Miles was not a poor drummer at all ;)
