I have no problem with elected officials being held accountable by the people who vote for them, but Tavis seems to be using this as a guise for being insulted by the fact that Obama did not attend his State of the Black Union event. Tavis is a "self-appointed" Black leader, who loves to peddle his latest book at every State of the Black Union event.

Umm, no I'm not paranoid because he spoke yesterday at an event referring to Obama: He said "When you get where you been trying to go, I pray it'll be worth the journey," said Smiley, speaking to the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, Barack Obama, who was miles away in Mississippi for his first debate with Republican contender John McCain. "If you let them steal, surrender or you lose your soul, it will be an empty achievement."

You're paranoid; everything Tavis says isn't a slight against Obama.

I take it he's insinuating something negative about Obama: According to Tavis, Obama doesn't "love" the people, nor has he "served" them, and if he wins the election, he won't do anything to "save" them.
