  • 2:25-4:00 tells about a girl named Kara (or Carol?) in his geography class. He asked 4 her opinion on what he should research about Hawaii. She suggested he research cars, coconuts, & hula dancing.

    However, on pages 145-147 of his book, he tells this story VERBATIM but with a student named Michelle and the country is New Zealand. The class Michelle is in is his social studies class.

    So clearly this event happened, but why does he use completely different elements in his lecture and book??!!!
