RJ - many of us(my father actually) grew up hearing singing in church with no instruments -- it was both a poor community and instruments were also considered very showy and prideful back early in the 20th century churches in the hills. Most funerals were sung without music - as these guys are doing here. As I kid I remember how absolutely moving the voices were of people now long gone for the most part and it is nice to see it continue. The voice is a beautiful instrument.

Had you been at The Barn that night you certainly would have felt closer to god. The appreciative crowd was Silent. Capital S for emphasis. I've never heard it that quiet before. It was reverent.
