Ep. 14 Charter Change Alex P.O.V




It was a very hot afternoon, the sun was like melting me. Naturally the weather is cold and the sun is seldom to see at day time. Today we had an outdoor activity, sports ed. I should say, the subject that I really hate, I'm not really good at sports let alone playing under the heat of the sun. My fellow classmates also complained about the heat but we had no choice, we need to pass this subject.




"Damn it so hot, why can't we use the gym?" One of my classmate complained.




"Have you heard about track and filed done in a gym?"
Our Sport ed. Has arrived and immediately call some random names to go to the field.




"Ok Miss Jonas, Santiago, Lopez, and Meiyers go to your respective position now.




I went to my lane and beginning to warm up getting ready to be left behind cause I'm the slowest runner in the group. Our teacher then made a signal as he raised his hand.




"On your mark, get set, go!"
I run as swiftly as I can but no matter efforts that I exert in running I was 15 meters away from the second to the last runner. Well I am left behind again. I can still hear my team mates cheered on me as loud as they can. Two girls had already made it to the finish line. I struggle to speed up but suddenly I twist my ankle and fall on my knees rolling on the ground. I cried in pain while my fellow classmates runs toward me and quickly and brought me to the school infirmary.
Class was already over my friends came by to visit me.
"Hey Alex? How are you feeling? I heard you were badly hurt in doing track and filed." Mitch asked as she hold my hand.
"Yeah, I got a sprain on my ankle and I fell to the ground, and again I had an enormous wound in my knee." I sighed.
"Are you tired of getting wounds Alex?" Nini teased.
Mitch and I both glared to her, considering that I was badly wounded months ago when I found out about my foster parents. My hands are shaking like I suddenly felt so scared about what will happen. What will I going to do when I get home. As I watch my wound its still bleeding a little but its scent is really strong. I had seen them on how they reacted on the scent of blood just like what had happen a week ago when there were vampires who try to invade the house and get me from them. I didn't expect that they spill a barrel full of human blood all around the house. I don't like to see their red eyes and fangs when they smile. I even let them wear shade when talking to me. I'm glad Nick wasn't home, I wonder were he is.
I sighed, I'm still glad I'm alive. Its been three months when I discovered their secrets. I wish I could tell my befriends about it. The school nurse had put some bandages in my wound and assured me that it will be fine.
I'm still afraid to go home not because they will attack me or something I'm sure they will not allow it to happen, I trust them but I don't want to be scolded again by doing reckless on my activities. Mitch and I parted ways with Nini we gave a kiss good bye to her and continue to walk home.
I checked on my wound because I felt a little pain, it was bleeding and the bondage was soaked with blood. I can't go home in this condition. "Hey Mitch can I go to your house I need to change the bondage on my wound, its already soaked with blood" I asked
"Don't you have any first aid kit in your place?" She asked.
"Nope," I sighed I'm sick and tired of lying and making some excuse. I removed the bondage cause It makes me uncomfortable but it only bleeds more.
"Alex why did you removed the bondage? It will just get worse." She sighed. I'm still assessing on my wound.
When we were about to pass on the next block I was shocked when all of the sudden Nick was standing near the tree. A gust of wind blew behind me and suddenly Nick inhaled deeply I guess he already smelled my bleeding wound.
"Oh my God, Nick!" I screamed. Mitch look at me on an oddly manner.
"Hey what's wrong with you? You look like you've seen a monster." Mitch mumbled.
"What are you doing here?" I gasp. He was hesitant to walk towards me but he did. I can see that he's trying to resist the scent and I noticed he controls his breathing.
"Well Alex I guess you'll not coming by to my house, I'll see you at school then tomorrow. Bye and Hi there Nick." Mitch said as she smiled and wave good bye to us. Nick smiled back to her.
I quickly covered my wound with a handkerchief. He keeps on swallowing and restraining himself in a calm manner.
"Lets go home." He said as he extend his hand to me. He then pick up his shades in his pocket and wear it. I knew his eyes turned red again.
