UFC color commentator Joe Rogan defends the sport of MMA against boxing promoter Lou DiBella. With Quick interviews from "The Iceman" Chuck Liddell and Undeafeated Floyd Mayweather Jr.
joe rogan makes a great point, I have nothing against the actual sport of boxing, but its sad that boxing can't get mayweather and pac man to fight. The sport is dead, and its sad cause in its glory days it was awesome to watch, mma is on the rise!
for me the one thing that makes the difference is that the ufc is much easier to follow. yes you will get hard core boxing fans that watch every fight on a ppv event but at the end of the day most people only tune in to watch the big names in boxing. whilst the ufc has structured itself so that you know just about every fighter on the card and 9/10 those fights are exciting and explosive. however a 8 round boxing match without a name is hard to watch for many fans
MMA reaches some people because they relate to it more, most street fights end up where? On the ground! Most people don't know how to fight in a boxing sense, with defense and precise punching...it depends what your taste is, boxing will always be KING IMO because UFC has a limited audience. And who honestly wants to watch a fight where guys are on the ground stagnant for half the fight?
@BobOndeese21 Then all i can say is, thank god we have mma and boxing, so that people who likes mma watch mma, and people who likes boxing can watch boxing, or watch both. I just disagree with all this nonsense argue of boxing vs mma, two diferent fighting sport with different rules, and yet very popular, and spectacular. I mean come is like arguing of polo vs hockey, or rugby vs football, or football vs soccer, just watch watever u like there a big variaty 4 everyone.

MMA is my hobby and I LOVE watching it.
Boxing is fun to spar, but I don't like watching it, I just don't and it just doesn't appeal to me.
Yet, I still enjoy practicing both, but ultimately, MMA is my all-time favorite sport.
