Stevie Wonder - Living for the city 1974

A boy is born in hard time Mississippi
Surrounded by four walls that aint so pretty
His parents give him love and affection
To keep him strong moving in the right direction
Living just enough, just enough for the city!

His father works some days for fourteen hours
And you can bet he barely makes a dollar
His mother goes to scrub the floors for many
And you'd best believe she hardly gets a penny
Living just enough, just enough for the city!

(Instrumental)

His sisters black but she is shonuff pretty
Her skirt is short but lord her legs are sturdy
To walk to school she's got to get up early
Her clothes are old but never are they dirty
Living just enough, just enough for the city!

Her brothers smart he's got more sense than many
His patiences long but soon he wont have any
To find a job is like a haystack needle
Cause where he lives they dont use colored people
Living just enough, just enough for the city!

(Instrumental)

(Living just enough for the city)
Living for the city yeah
(Living just enough for the city)
Living for the city yeah ...

(Instrumental)

Everybody's singing
La, la, la, la, la, la,
Da ba da da da da da da
Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da da da da

Stevie is really a genius. The albums he recorded around this time--Talking Book, Innervisions, and Songs in the Key of Life--are some of the greatest of all time.

WTF is wrong with the audience? All the shots, they are pretty much expressionless.

How do you think they keep YouTube as a free service? The ads pay for the content. That's why I'll never use adblock or anything like it. The ads also pay the creators for their videos and help us have better videos. Good luck getting anyone to watch your videos on your own site with your own CDs.
