Secretary of State Jesse White urged all Illinoisans to join the state's organ and tissue donor registry, following the unveiling of an ad campaign featuring 13-year-old heart recipient Mikahla Thornton and Brittney Payton, daughter of legendary Chicago Bears great Walter Payton, whose efforts had a dramatic impact on donation.
"This campaign shows that organ donation can transform lives and make anything in life possible," White said. "Thanks to the giving spirit of an organ donor, Mikahla can grow up happy and healthy with an opportunity to make her mark in the world."
In the ad, Payton and Mikahla say, "Be an organ donor because to the world you may only be one person, but to one person you may be the world."
@Amorayah I am actually referring to naive people who check the box on their drivers' licenses which permit their organs to be harvested. I know firsthand how things are really done. Doctors and nurses do not hesitate to "accelerate" curable illnesses in order to get their $100,000-and-up bribes. When that much money is involved, most people cave in to the dark side. I REPEAT, DO NOT DONATE YOUR ORGANS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE MURDERED! I HAVE SEEN IT HAPPEN MANY TIMES BUT IT IS UNPROVABLE!

@PhillyCopsAreCorrupt You are correct..In actuality, they breed organ donors for 3 major Organs. more than half of them never live past 25. You never hear about them because they are kept in hidden places, so they won't have contact with the society.
