@RetroWinnipeg Mine is Calgary...i have some clips of it...i am certain this is from 2000 or 1999 because of the logo.

Must have been technical difficulties. The Calgary station had a sign-off sequence around this time before going 24/7 in a few years

City TV = Rogers owned, CTV 2 = Bell media owned. Isn't City TV STILL in Winnipeg?

ctv2 still has this color bar thing. I was watching last month and all of a sudden it just signed off. It brought me back to the old times though :)

CHMI is no longer being called Citytv anymore, as the CRTC approved the sale of this station to Bell Media. It will be rebranded "CTV Two" effective September 1.

Very strange. Most of today's "A" is crying (VERY) poor right now.
Where are the late night infomercials to help fund all the A's?
They were struggling to make money then, and they are struggling to make money now.

Actually, this A-Channel became Citytv in 2005. The A stations currently owned by CTVglobemedia have been unprofitable for many years, unlike this Winnipeg station. And this station now has Paid Programming overnight.
