It is true that Mamié and Carlitos are no longer dancing together. When in Europe I believe he is dancing primarily with Ariane Liautaud of Paris.

i absolutely agree. there is a smoothness on the floor, completely 'effortless, i.e - no tension whatsover. Yes, the world is around them and they are at the epicentre. too often a difficult moment to capture and/or experience in tango. The variances to recognisable steps make it all the more delicious. In tango, this so called 'simplicity' are the most complex to master and execute.
