Hiryuu no Ken.... Flying Dragon Sword. I kept calling it katana... that's NOT the kanji for katana. I'm half-asleep, my bad. If you are interested, 刀 is katana and it looks nothing like 剣. Oh well.

The second item that I show is the 青い涙石の指輪, or Blue Tearstone Ring. It increases your defense when your HP is low... basically like the Dull Rat's Ring that you get from Lord Rydell in Demon's Souls.

Xbox 360 version player here, by the way...Is there any way to actually KILL this dragon? And if so, does he drop anything aside from the whole sniping the befuddlement out of its tail ordeal for that blade?

@naudae You can melee him down near the stairs. There's not really any good reason to, though. You get some souls, and that's it. Well, he won't breath fire at you anymore, too.

@DoctorUmehara You don't need to kill him. You can just run by. After you've done it once, you can teleport there with the Lord Vessel.

I got past the dark knight by luring him out, then bum rushing the ring.

I ended up accidentally rolling off the edge to get away from him, and I think he followed.

Anyway, long story short, I have the dark knight sword.

Dude i got a sword stronger well higher stat power than the drake sword and i barely started and its the black knights sword and its from the one protecting the blue tearstone ring

@codpwningmachine i killed the one in undead burg when i was lvl 1....... just use pyro..... its makes shit a whole lot easier.

Don't know why people keep making strategies to kill it with mellee, just use pyro or sorcery spells. Not like it matter though since by the end of the game, you'd feel like a god.

Getting the drake sword is like running away at the start of the game. I've literally only used it once, and that was to try to kill the bell gargoyles, but I failed. After getting all the good items from the first shopkeeper, I just killed him to get the uchigata. It has served me well in my endeavors so far, but I might just use the iaito as its faster, but the bad thing is that my uchi is already +6

Gues you already know this by now, but you can kills the black knight by backstabbing it very easy. Even as a mage :)
