  • @Hagfan789 yeah I am getting better at that over time. I suppose now with the new youtube built in editor I could shorten existing ones too.

  • May I ask is it necessary to core them, or is it personal preference?

  • @LIKEAWHIRLWIND not required per-se. You'd have to boil a lot longer to reduce them without coring, because there is water in the core. And there is the seeds as well. I know a guy who does not peel nor core them, though I've never tasted his product either.

  • @LIKEAWHIRLWIND Sometimes the core is hard and green, which is not desired in the canned product. It will look different and not be as palatable. It is a matter of esthetics and personal choice to remove the core. If you have really nice tomatoes that are red to the top, by all means can the whole piece of the fruit.
