@latinelover24 This tribe was on the brink of extinction BECAUSE of their beliefs. Those missionaries went in there to teach them that their God, Wengongi, wanted them to STOP destroying one another. Wengongi had a Son who was speared but did not spear back...

what i truly believe is that we should leave these tribes alone with there own culture and their own beliefs..not some sky daddy that loves to destroy the world...let us evolve and live own..

omg my algebra twacher told us how his uncle was one of the guys that got killed. he said they made a movie about it n I couldn't believe it! wow crazy shit. he and his family visited the tribe in some jungle in 2003 n 2006 and he told us how they say "woo" when they agree with one another or sumthing its pretty funny.

@fisterB The missionaries did not bring violence to the Waorani; they instead tried to show them through presents that they wanted to be friends. On the other hand the Waorani believed that all white people were cannibals and wanted to kill them from experience in the past. Also the missionaries didnt bring disease into their lives, they instead brought antibiotics and medicines to help the Waorani and other tribes.
