  • i have grown up reading the book probably 50 times....

  • In the Russian version, Silver, when left after negotiations ( 7.50), has told magnificent phrase:.... In just one hour, those of you, who are still amond the living, will envy who"ve been killed.

    =========

    Here the same?

  • *A cannonball is fired towards the blockhouse*

    Captain Smollett: "Blaze away! You've little enough powder already, me lads..."

    *A second canonball hits the ground*

    "Have to do better than that, lads!!"

    *A third canonball is fired*

    Hahaha :P Capt. Smollett. Amazingly calm, as always!

  • This is great... it's always nice when the people who make the movie actually stick so close to the book!

  • Because he is the ships cook.

  • Anyone know why the pirates refer to Silver as barbeque ?

  • @DaniVideoDiary You sure are right about that, Newton delivered that line the best, but just hearing it in Heston's voice makes it a close second.

  • "Shut up, Israel! You'd think you'd never seen a man with his throat cut before!" xD Charlton Heston is so perfect in this role...

  • I'm loving this version, but Robert Newton's "Them That Die'll Be The Lucky Ones" line is the best compared to this.

  • I like the way silver throws his sword down before he goes into the stockade to talk but as he sits down at 05:15 you can see the handle of a dagger tucked in his belt behind his back, I supose its only fair as captain smollit still has his pustol in his hand.
