@mysalival100 that is what it means in the US as well. I don't understand what you're saying - we are watching the second come up and he's cleaning the gear as he climbs (see it on his harness?). This is a trad climb, not a sport climb. I was replying to the person who said this is not technically a trad climb.
Why are you explaining this to me? Nothing I said indicates that I don't know what trad climbing is.
@FowlFilms trad in england is traditional climbing typically whne the climber(s) place all of the gear (nuts, cams) as they climb and remove them as the ascent is completed. as apose to sport climbing where the equipment and anchors are allready fixed.
@FowlFilms i use a grigri for multipitching but only to bring up the second, heard way too many horror stories of people taking falls on lead becasue they belayer couldnt play out rope fast enough
@jmk1a1 that is outside corner, most definately a trad route. @trantillium that is how we say belay in the states. @scottkunz - gri gris are not for multipitch climbs.
Man this just scares me to watch that is high up there

is that an intentional comical mispronunciation of belay?

@jmk1a1 Why isn't that trad? It's certainly not sport climbing :)

Beautiful country and great climb, but that's not technically trad climbing.
