CSUN film students join fellow student Brianna Campbell on the 'M*A*SH' set in Newhall as she creates "Shades of Hope," which tells the story of the Vietnam War from the veterans' perspective. Video clip courtesy of KNBC 4 - Los Angeles
This is not a student film. It's a vanity project, funded by relatives. Sure, it's non-union, but true student films are made on shoestring budgets supplied by broke students. It's not fair to compare this to actual student films. I'm sure this is a quality piece of work, but I've worked as a student and I've worked as a professional in the field and the biggest difference is the acquisition and the use of capital. I applaud this group, but to label this a student work is misleading.
