Halloween is a dark day that is celebrated by witches, warlocks, satanist, occultist, & many others .

The earliest Halloween activities began among the Celts. The Celts had a priestly class called the Druids. They began their New Year on November 1.
They believed that on October 31, the last day of the old year, the Lord of Death gathered the souls of the evil dead and released other dead who turned into animals.

Druid worshippers in an attempt to appease the Lord of Death would put on ugly masks & dance around bonfires, while putting-out food to welcome the "ghosts of the dead, whom they believed were their relatives."

Also, the Roman Catholic religion has a holiday that is/was close to the Druids celebration. On May 13, 1609 Pope Boniface IV dedicated the Roman Pantheon to the Virgin Mary and all the Christian Martyrs. In 1835 Pop Gregory IV transfered this feast to November 1 and extended it to ALL SAINTS. Along these same lines November 2nd was declared as a day to pray for the dead after Saint Odilo had a supposed vision of souls in purgatory (this is only a catholic belief, not a Christian belief). Hence, "All Saints Day" & "All Souls Day" (Hallow Day) respectively.

The real Christian church never Christianized Halloween - Unfortunately, because of the above mentioned activities, the Roman Catholic church baptized it with its own unique, and unbiblical, beliefs concerning sin, the saints, and purgatory.

Many false beliefs have come from Catholicism because it is filled with so much superstitution.

Many say these Catholic holidays were started to oppose the pagan festival of the Druids. What has happened over the centuries is the mixing of these two events. Witches, neo-pagans & other occultist observe this holiday as a very serious event.

Many witches & satanic groups consider Halloween a special night for various reasons. It is an established fact that on this night, witches celebrate "The Witches Sabbath", (paying homage to Satan; to them a holiday above all holidays.) "The Black Mass" is also celebrated on this very night. Anyone who researches the facts behind a Black Mass will realize how evil the forces really are behind this celebration. Beyond any stretch of the imagination, this night is in honor of Satan.

Compromise is the easy way out for parents who, thinking they are showing love by acquiescence, are in reality possibly destroying their children's spiritual life.

A large question this raises is that of Christians innocently participating in Halloween.......... does it involve a deliberate mockery of God on the part of the devil; i.e., to have God's own children participate symbolically in celebrations that are tributes to Satan, pagan gods, and all kinds of evil?

Is it acceptable to participate in an activity that has a large degree of occultism?

The occult is anything but a harmless pastime, and to associate one's child with that aspect of it would be unwise. Halloween activities can lead children and adults to cultivate a fascination with the more sinister aspects of this holiday, after all the DOMINANT THEME of Halloween has always been one of witches, ghosts, spirits and the dead.

Aside from the fascination with the dead, witchcraft is the most recurring theme in Halloween.
Unfortunately, witchcraft is no laughing matter. From a biblical perspective ALL witchcraft is EVIL.

Today some christians don't seem to convinced about the dangers of witchcraft. Several evangelists even say it is "harmless".
BUT the history of witchcraft itself and the personal testimonies of former witches contradict this greatly.
(if the testimony of Jesus Christ is not enough).
