@Anon12356 - Why was water tested on animals?
-
@Anon12356 - I'm not saying we should avoid chemicals that were tested in the past, as long as they're not tested now. The problem is (it says this in the article) that some chemicals are tested on animals over and over again despite being already known to be safe from previous human use.

has been tested on animals. Are you just going to stop buying water?

I am not offended, and I don't even use Persil. Just because something is natural doesn't mean it is safe. For example: AIDS and cancer are natural and un-safe. Alternatively vaccines are artificial, safe, and increase lifespans by years. If you consider buying a chemical that was tested on animals "funding animal testing" then you won't have any chemicals to run to, because virtually all of them have been tested on animals at sometime or another. Water is a chemical that

@Anon12356 - Sure I used to, now I only use vegan products. Persil are funding animal testing by buying tested chemicals rather than using safe natural ingredients like some other products are. I don't mean to offend you buy saying this, as I can tell that Persil has a special place in your heart :).

So what if Persil use triethanolamine? I'm sure you use many chemicals that have once been tested on animals without even knowing it. The article does not allege that Persil carried out the tests or even funded them. I don't work for Persil, you don't have to work for Persil or have any affiliation with them to care about untrue claims about Persil.

@Anon12356 - Like I already said, Persil funds rabbit torture by purchasing tested chemicals. If they wanted to, they could make laundry products which do not "need" testing. I understand your point that my first comment gives the impression that Persil are doing the testing directly rather than paying for the testing, but the point is that animal cruelty is involved in the manufacure of persil. It is unfortunate that this upset you so much. Do you work for Persil by any chance?
The irony is, thousands of real rabbits are killed by Persil in animal testing labs.
