@DoctorDeadwax So I'm in the Spadina and College Street area and pull out my digital camera and do this big thing on the El Mo and Grossmans where I talk about the Blues Brothers and Jeff Healey and BB Gabor (not sure about Rough Trade) and I walk into Grossman's Tavern and there isn't a single living soul in there! I go on and on about the best blues can on the continent with so much history...and there isn't even a cockroach in there to greet me. Anticlimactic or what?

@astrosafari727 I've seen bits of the film Jeff but never the whole enchilada. I guess that movie theatre that is now a church is still full of "soul music" (:->

@bluenazz Wow! You've never seen the film? A classic! Highly recommended. Lots of action, comedy, car chases, and great music! One of my all-time favorite movies! I saw it at the theater when it came out in 1980! Unfortunately that movie theater closed down years ago, and it is a church now.

@astrosafari727 I too have the Blues Brothers LP's and I've never seen the film. I love the music though. Thanks Jeff!

@stephievon Thanks for watching Steph!

@Paneeks1960 Yeah, the Blues Brothers were very cool and they had a wonderful band!
Never heard of the band before, and yet they have a lot of records.

@paperweightgirl Lyne, I would have thought that Downchild would have played Suds periodically back in the 70's and 80's. But you would have had to be of legal drinking age to get in (:->

I've seen "Straight Up" often in used record stores. Must be their best selling album.

@aldiakaroofus I don't recall which of the Downchild LP's actually sold the most Aldi. "Straight Up" may have had the closest thing to hits, although I recall the "So Far" LP selling very well as it was a Greatest Hits comp.
