Thanks for posting this. I remember that this caused people to say "Hold On Bald Eagle" instead of "Wait" or "Wait A Minute". A minor cultural classic.

Only ever got this confectionary at christmas as part of a selection box , I always saved it till last because it was the shitest tasting sweet in the box , hene it's dissapearance from the shelves, I too am surprised to see this advert posted.

I loved Texan Chew Bars, can still remember the taste and this advert. Doubt they would get away with this ad now, too politically incorrect plus your not allowed to advertise choccy.

'Hold on there, Bald Eagle', was one of those catchphrases that was doing the rounds at my school, back at the time this ad was shown.. Ah, memories..
