@patrickmc018 Thank you. The issue could be caused by a few different things. The most likely being a bad connection or the wrong LCD screen generation/version. I would double check that the replacement screen is the exact same as your replacement.

My 5th gen display broke at some point and began as a gray area at the top while the rest still worked and i could scroll and go on as normal. Eventually the crack in the LCD expanded and nothing showed up on the screen, however it would still light up and i could play music. I got a screen, followed your instructions (which were awesome by the way) and now my entire screen is just white when it turns on. the backlight is still extremely bright, but no words, logos, icons, or anything show up

hey i replaced the lcd screen with the exact same screen, and it shows up white when it's powered on, any ideas?

@miozyne Few things can cause this - wrong LCD (you already ruled that out), bad connection, or faulty LCD screen. I would suggest contacting the seller of the part directly and get some troubleshooting information from them.

Hi. I have a serious problem.I have an ipod nano 5th generation. The other day i dropped my ipod and when i picked it up the screen was completely white. So i reset it and the screen went completely black. And now it wont turn on, or reset. Whenever i plug it into the computer or my ihome nothing happens. The computer doesnt read it and the ihome doesnt either. I dont know what to do. At first i thought it might need a lcd screen replacement but when it didnt get reconized i was confused. Help?

@KillaWatts10 Yes, that does not sound too promising. Your thought process is correct however. I would suggest disassembling the Nano and checking for damage or loose connections.
