Visit us at www.GreatChefs.com. Welcome to Oriental Obsessions, a nine course banquet of Asian specialties interpreted by some of America's great chefs. Join the celebration with Lawrence Chu and James Lew in Los Altos, California, Chris Yo and Elko Gilmore in San Francisco, Susanna Fu in Philadelphia, and from New Orleans Frank Wong and his brother James. James Wong is the eldest of five brothers. Their two restaurants have made the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain an unlikely target for Chinese food lovers in New Orleans. He opens our feast with a spin on the classic winter melon soup, except he uses an acorn squash.

i have a hard time calling this soup. its merely stock with a scallop and mushroom thrown in. this is not innovative or creative.
