If you're new to Australia, familarize yourself with these terms so you know where you are at. This is only a starting base but you will get the hang of it, and it will open up an entire new world to you. Alot of the profanity's are terms of endearmeant so it's strongly advised you do NOT try to use these sayings, because said the wrong way or to the wrong person could damage your health. The idea is to know what is meant by them, if you ever hear them said, and to know they are not meant to offend you. Cheers Mate.

Yes, there is slang in Australia, but to find the full fledged Aussie slangers you need to go to the country, or smaller country towns. It does exist mildly in the cities and I know because I am a business woman in Sydney and use a lot of slang sayings. But that is because I grew up half my life in the country and am 7th generation Australian.
