@philipyip72 not anymore...

Indeed. He is a really funny guy, and was quick as hell. No politician, though, what may be the reason he never won the championship.
However, in terms of driving driving he was one of the best. His slides are legend!

@TupacX2Pak how is that ignorant? What does that have to do with he himself driving? Manual gearbox, high cockpit temps and extremely non-linear power delivery is what makes these drivers men in comparison with today, I think is the point he's making..

@philipyip72 2013 will see a resurgence in the turbo in f1.
-
@shadowracer091 ...Given De Cesaris' reputation I'm betting he did that all the time.

28 Gerhard Berger forever.. fucking legend he is..
just saying his name produces goosebumps to real racing fans..
in my opinion one of the few who do not need the F1 title to be amongst the best drivers ever..

In the Turbo Era the Cockpit Temperature was near 70°C, thats the Reason why Gerhard take his Helmet off in the Lap AFTER the finish.
What you did´t see in the Video, is the Fact that Gerhard and Ayrton were sitting in the shadow for 15min. before they go to the Podium Celebration.
Both were physically on the maximum and burned out after the Race.
The Turbo Era was for MAN, not for Boys like todays F1.
As Gerhard himself said: Forget everthing after, the Turbo Cars really were Rockets.
