May 2008 recital. I began piano almost 4 years ago, and can't imagine a day without it! My desire is to inspire others to discover their passions.......it's never too late, and no one is perfect! Music teaches us so much more than the obvious...It teaches us about ourselves, and about life..

Please excuse the audio quality...This is taken by a camcorder..Your comments are welcome.....be nice! This is only my 3rd performance, and I chose for the first time, to play 4 pieces instead of 1....a bit much for my level of musical maturity....and nerve threshold!

  • is this the urtext? I play this as well, but my edition doest have the repeating in the middle, where you go back to the slight variation, at the end of the first page. You play this extraordinary! really good!! Im very inspired :) xo

  • @idlyen So sorry for the delayed reply......This is NOT the urtext. I do not know what edition it is! I will find out, and let you know. Thanks so much for your comment.

  • Bravo. Your emotion through this piece was electric. Thank you

  • @WiLmAn07 Thank you!

  • Thanks for helping me rediscover a song!

I remember playing this three years ago, but I forgot what it was called. :)

  • @floatingstrings

  • ...truly mendelssohn...it must be the succession of flats that comprise a melody. I also think of being taken from a home, barefoot and into the camps.

  • @haydn4ever Thanks! :D I'll try playing it

  • @hollis76er Well, if you look on my channel, the ones I have played already, whether I was ready to play them or not, are some of my favorites. I learned the unconventional way! I was led by my heart and not my skill level! Some, if not MOST of the pieces I play, I was not and STILL am not ready to play.......but I just HAD TO! Because of this, I have a lot of holes in my training and learning. I still have many others I would like to learn, but not enough time lately.

  • @hieizgirl I looked the piece up on the Pianostreet website. It is sort of the gold standard for leveling among many pianists......I guess! It rates it a level 6. I think that's about right when I compare it to some of the other pieces I have played. It's fun to play though!

  • What grade is this song for?

  • This is a very nice piece, and you play it very well. I just started playing about a year ago and have learned some Chopin, Beethoven, and Debussy, but i've been trying to discover "new to me" classical pieces that appeal to me such as the one you play here. What are some of you other fav's?

  • Hello.

It is a very great performance.

I also uploaded this music today.
