Hydrofracking is a controversial process for extracting natural gas that involves creating fractures in rock deep beneath the earth's surface. Residents of the Shenandoah Valley are concerned that a proposed natural gas hydrofracking site in Bergton, VA could contaminate local aquifers with fracturing chemicals or waste fluids as well as destroy the beautiful landscape. We encourage everyone to watch this video and become more aware of the potential dangers of hydrofracking.
Rise up against this quickly. The rivers here in SW PA have become incredibly polluted. People are getting sick from compressor stations, Animals are dying from waste water. Just type "Dunkard Creek Fish Kill" in the Youtube search bar above. This is not the only incident of animals dying in SW PA. It has also killed farm animals, and caused still births of farm animals. Not to mention that now one river is very high in salt content. Dunkard Creek saw over 20,000 fish die. Fight this!!!!

This is horrific ! I have been following this story for one year and it's bigger than Erin Brochovich's case of the people of Hinkley California against PG&E.
There is a website that currently updates the hydrofracking process including aquifer contamination, a map on the different shale formations that are being drilled, and even other countries (not just USA). It's titled "Hydrofracking Not Sexy Enough for Politics." Here squidoo (dot) com( slash)hydrofracking-and-updates

Link will not post, article title is: Radioactive Waste Surfaces at Texas Gas Sites (Dallas Morning News)
In Denton, Tarrant and Wise counties, all kinds of equipment – from pipes and separators to frac and brine-hauling tanks – were decontaminated of NORM – the most toxic waste the wells can generate.
