This song is Scottish. Maybe these guys sing it with an Irish accent, but the orinigal version of this song, was sung by a scotsman. So it would take a Scottish here to here the nuances. The original version was sung in accomniment wiht bagpipes, and had a much cleaner sound to it.
That's quite weird actually. Myself being a Czech and the only thing having in common with Irish is my fondness of Guinness, I find it quite understandable, without much focusing.
It requires something of an Irish ear to understand the nuances...to us it's quite understandable. Nirvana, on the other hand, was unintelligible even to those of the native language, perhaps because of copious amounts of drugs.
