Aaliyah in 2001 was the blueprint of this generation to what you see today in 2011 She was the definition of the triple threat!!  Any urban female that has followed the path of music to movies and crossover success owes it to her for opening that door when no one else was!!! Most noticeably Beyonce. First Aaliyah died then Lefteye died. TLC was the top girl group until lefteye's death in 2002. Which pushed Destiny's Child forward and Beyonce into solo stardom and eventually on Aaliyah path!!

i love and miss aaliyah so much, i still hurt everytime i think about the fact that she's gone, her death was so sudden and tragic and sometimes i still can't believe she's gone even though its been almost 11 years this year and she's 33 years old now, died at 22, my, how time flies, seem like just yesterday, aaliyah was definitely one in a million and irreplaceable, i'm an aaliyah fan for life and i'll always remember her, r.i.p babygirl
