Afew years ago I went to San Francisco,a fantastic tolerant place it was,never felt threatened,I found the people to be so friendly and helpful,at one stage we got totally lost,&asked someone if they new where our hotel was,we didn't want a taxi, as we did not want to miss a thing,this guy walked us back to our hotel it was easily 2 miles out of his way,he was charming,&it left me with a good feeling for San Francisco. if you have not been you just gotta go.
