this seems like a really good cheap recording bass, I am looking for a cheapish one and this one stands out compared to many others for its tone, would you recommend this for serious recording?

this bass is "easy to play"? I have a elcheapo fender squire and I hear they are not the easiest to fret.

I bought this bass. You can play anything on it, any style or music type and it sounds good. For the price I haven't seen or heard anything better. Add a decent amp and pedal or two for even more versitility. This is a quality Squire guitar.

I've heard that the neck can come poorly positioned and needs adjusting by the trust rod do you have these issues?

@knightyboy98 We set up all of our basses, so most basses will require some sort of set-up adjustment when they arrive. The less expensive the bass the more adjustment/set-up is required. We can set it up to your specs when you order. Just give us a call and we will be happy to help you!

@blueman912 I bought the bass in the video and although I do slap a lot, it is not really a good slap bass. It's best for finger style and the occasional pick. The pickup design and position as well as the preamp tone keep it from sounding anything like a MM Sterling.

@YofterMofter I don't know. The pickup dimensions are 37.5mm by 88.5mm. EMG's website should have the dimensions of all their pickups.
