@LoneIndividual Who is the one hating?
-
@LoneIndividual Aside, I think it would be useful to transfer this discussion to our walls, so as not to clog up this video any longer.

@LoneIndividual Um indeed people do eat food which is then turned into energy (albeit in a rather complex manner) some this energy being mechanical work.
And indeed as Marx and many before him noted, the work performed by the individual is more then the minimum necessary to sustain him, thus the idea of surplus, and how such a thing could be requisitioned by others (be they landlords, capitalists, firms, a government, etc.)
This seems quite irrelevant to the rest of our discussion though.

@LoneIndividual There are indeed obviously atheists who have other motives and beliefs. But those beliefs are dependent on atheism (eg. Someone who wishes to raise the top marginal income tax rate doesn't do so because he lacks belief in a deity).
-
@LoneIndividual It was necessary to make clear; As deity is sometimes commonly used to refer to some revered person, one which does necessarily have supernatural powers (eg. Cult of persona of Soviet Leaders).
-
@LoneIndividual Entropy is not constant. The second law of thermodynamics states that entropy is always increasing (in the given universe defined). Although I must say the mathematical demonstration of this was absent from my chemistry course on the subject which I took a few years ago.
Nevertheless, you do understand entropy as Q/T I hope.

"Life is certainly possible without gods. Methods of living are also not dependent on the existence of a deity in general."
Deity = Providence
Anything you devote yourself to, expecting reciprocation from , is worshiped as a god.
ex: Mammon (God of Money). Form and Manner of worship? Greed, TO GET GAIN, etc.
It's foolish to believe that an artificial system can produce supernatural results.........as in..... results not found naturally....or at all.
-
"Strawman. I never denied that entropy has always been observed to be increasing in situations defined by a given volume and given surroundings."
Strawman of a strawman. Volume and surroundings do not define anything regarding Entropy. It's simply a constant that I see in everything presently alive as well as non-living matter. Entropy is Universal.
This is getting petty. I've read your page, and some of the comments. We clearly do not have agreement on Entropy.

I just love how you clarified SUPERNATURAL DEITY from just the normal variety of deity. Otherwise, I must be parsing words (albeit with justified suspicion) and you just added redundancies to the word deity...which by it's nature is traditionally viewed by default as supernatural.
Science has been turned into machination of convolutions between religious sophistry and objectivity.
Who else tried to pause and read everything it said? Just me? Awesome.

Kefka! The God of All Atheists. The Usurper of All Tyrants. The Genius of All Fools. The Lover of Hatred. The Parody of Meaning. The Predicate to the "Self-Help Booklet".
Before there was God, there was Atheism.
Before there was God, there was Kefka.
