My husband has just been diagnosed with early stages of Dementia of the Alzhiezmers type. He's just started on Aricept. Did you try that first? How is your progress now?
God bless you, hope there has been improvement. I'll keep looking at your videos.

I'm SO HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS! GOD BLESS YOU BOB! I'm also broken hearted though:( it's way too late for my grandma. She's had it for 16 years. I'd love to have a husband like you Bob!

She is so lucky to have you! I am wondering how Linda Lee is doing now.
Hang in there....I will pray for your family

Amazing... please keep posting your progress, Bob and Linda. I am very impressed. Although I have no one near to me with Alzheimer's, I have worked with a few people that had it. What a sad and cruel disease. Linda is so young and such a lovely woman. I will pray she comes back to you. God Bless!

Wow, I am amazed and thrilled to see such an enormous response! It's like a door is being unlocked. Linda's laughter is such a sweet gift, and I am so happy to see her smiles!
Linda herself must be thrilled to be able to communicate a little bit better each day... I can't wait to see what's next!
Your strength and persistence, Bob, are what are making this possible. My love to you and Linda both.
xoxo Taren

Thanks for the info. Best of luck to you and your family. I've been down this road with parents and know how difficult all of this is.

We have. Now we simply say "pull your nose" and the verbal cue starts her vocalization. While the nose pulling seems a bit cruel, it was annoying not painful, and the stimulous unlocked some portion of her Alzheimer'ed brain and out fell some words. Now she seems to have retained those pathways and we are working on others.

By the way, I think you and your son should lay off the nose pulling. I know that you want to stimulate her to respond, I think there must be better ways.

That was a pretty remarkable video Bob. Thank you for making and posting it.
My best to you and Linda.
Truth is, we are lucky to have each other. Her demeanor is still happy and her smile can light up a room. Alas, the speech has gone again, and there is a slow erosion of other functions, like coming down stairs. I need to hold her hand now and prompt her to take each step. But she smiles at the bottom like she is saying "look what I did!"
