in terms of the LX3 and the Leica D-Lux 4 the 2 cameras look VERY similar. and seems to have the same features. While the LX3 is around $400 and the Leica is almost $800. i am planning on getting one of these cameras. but is the leica really worth double the price?? please help!!

The reviews always forget to tell you that it has a Leica lens and that its very sharp. As a matter of fact, its the same as the Leica conterpart, but I understand that the software and firmware is different.
Speaking of software, can anyone tell me how it is in this camera?
I am also looked at the Canon G11. Both seem like good cameras, with strong points all thier own. I just with the LX3 has a little stronger soom with that fast lens.
