Unavailable autos, that need to be made available in the us. Incidently this body style was introduced in 2001 and sold in market in 2002 (i still have the 2002 screen saver from when i was a kid) Honda motor company promply tryed to copy this body style on their new 2006 accord, but had to make changes as per peugeot legal. This Peugeot 607 body style is 6 years old but still holds its own with the 2008 line of any other auto company in the world. Keep in mind those of you who live in the u.s. The u.s. is not the world, it is 300 million people out of billions, who have not seen other autos except the awsome american line of vehicles and the immulative japanese line of honda toyota, etc. Try driving a honda,toyota,nissan on cobblestone and ruts for a while and see how long it lasts. again my opinion and not that of youtube or peugeot group

I stand corrected, keep in mind i was 10 years old at the time i first saw any mention of it and its specks on the internet, from an old american "peugeot moter club" maninly loyal peugeot owners with mostly 405 and 405mi16 and the occasional 205 from canada or mexico.

@ prax: damn right! i have got the 607 2.2 hdi of 2003 with incredible 321000 km and i never had any problems! also the design is still up to date! i simply love this car =D

It was a very good car, with high quality. Unfortunately at the time few customers only were ready to pay the prise of a BMW 5. or Mercedes E class for a Peugeot saloon car.

Too bad because the comfort, and chassis were far better by the time than BMW and Mercedes. Some versions suffered of some defect at the launching of the 605 which were fast corrected, but it was too late.

You're right. The Peugeot 607 was released in end 1999, and not 2002.

I love the bodyshape of this car, i like the seats and the comfort it provide, but I just hate the design of the dashboard in the middle, with this kind of ovale ugly thing. Otherwise the car is almost perfect, and is very reliable (from TÜV results better than Mercedes E-class, and BMW 5 series, but just after AUdi A6). Too sad also that they didn't put engine with more power than 210 HP in it.

i believe this car was released to the public in 1999.I saw this one in person at a car show in Buenos Aires in 2000.
