The Cypress College air conditioning and refrigeration program offers a 2 year complete curriculum in practical and theoretical training. Among the courses offered are:

This program is designed as the bridge between Engineering and Technology. It will provide students with technical skills to support engineering applications. Graduates of this program have gone on to become industry leaders in the Southern California area and beyond.

Apprentice Mechanic/Technician - $30,000

Journeyman Mechanic - $75,000

  • @DH26LA I haven't been to Mt Sac for some time. Their hvac/r was originally designed around Cypress. If you try Mt Sac be sure they focus on hvac/r fundamentals (very important!!!). Sometimes the better school is the closer one.

  • I went there for night classes 10 years ago(learned alot)...I heard the day time/full time classes are even better.
