My understanding is that President Nasser protected and respected the Christians and the Bishops and priest and would not tollerate violence against the Christians as is happening now!
There has allways been an undercurrent and blatant descrimination against Christians especially Coptic Christians.

Every member of the choir was born in Cairo and emigrated to Canada. Male members graduated from College Patriarcal in Cairo. Thnx to Colonel Nasser, whose anti-Christian's policy drove millions of Christians out of Egypt, that we now live in free countries. We love Egypt but loath the repression of non muslims.
