@musicalpony i think all music has meaning for us in the way we as individuals interpret it. i am sorry that this song seems sad to you, but you chose to listen to it because for some reason it may have had a sense of healing in it for you....otherwise i doubt you would have listened to it on repeat so much. but i am only assuming here....so don't shoot me lol.

I spent close to 4 months when I was in college -- with headphones on my head and completely bruised and raw fingers trying to pick out this song. I finally got it. If you ever wondered if Ani was a insanely bad-ass guitar player (and let's be honest, who could EVER doubt that she is?!) -- go learn to play one of her songs. ;-)

People keep talking about how calming they find this song, and that's really weird for me. I see it as incredibly sad, it usually makes me cry in fact. Of course, that could just be because I listened to it on repeat at a really hard time in my life. Still it's strange to see how other people interpret it.
