How to donate: head to http://www.horserehab.co.uk/help-lenny.html, or you can contact Marie via the details on the site. Alternatively, you can email saving.lenny2012@gmail.com with any questions about his care and what he needs. **** update - Lenny has a facebook page with updates about his progress and recent pics http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Lenny/262071850527245 **** Lenny is a 7 month old colt (male baby horse) that has been rescued by staff and livery clients at Priory Farm Stables in Langley, Buckinghamshire, UK. He was badly mauled in a dog attack and then left in a warehouse for several days without veterinary treatment. His wounds became seriously infected and he was near death. He was brought to Priory where everyone has pitched in to help care for him. His owner at first promised to pay for his treatments and now refuses to help, leaving us to pool our resources to keep Lenny going. Though Lenny improves every day, we desperately need donations to continue his life saving care. Thank you so much for watching xxxx The song used for this video is the gorgeous track called 'Mean to Me', by Delilah. http://www.delilahofficial.co.uk//

  • WTF...This poor little guy, his owner should pay for all treatment then locked in a cold cement cell for life! Along with several other things I would personally like to do to him; EVIL MF...I just can't comprehend how someone could be so cruel as to see a sentient being like this; slowly fade away in agony! Does anyone know if legal action is going to be taken, cos it dam well should..Where was his mum? I rescued a piebald colt deemed for slaughter, same age, their just baby's for Gods sake!

  • @lovesmehorse - unfortunately the RSPCA does not want to be involved in this case and would not come to see Lenny. Though we'd love for legal action to be taken it doesn't seem that it's going to happen. VERY frustrating. Lenny was weaned too early but not sure who the mum belongs to. The boy lost most of his left nasal bone on Saturday but on the whole is recovering really well, and is now officially owned by Priory Farm (paperwork done, yay!). Check out his FB page for updates :)

  • Do you know he Mauled by Dogs? x

And Who on earth could something like ths to a creature so beatiful

  • @FourleggedFriends90 - Yep, definitely dogs unfortunately. The previous owner and his son both admitted it to us. The wounds got so bad because they left him for so long without treatment. Poor boy is doing better all the time, though he still has many more weeks of treatment to go! xxxx

  • Thank you so much for your support everyone!! It really does make a huge difference to Lenny's life and recovery. Please check out his Facebook page in the description for regular updates - he's really starting to feel a lot better, but still has a long way to go. Xxxxxx

  • Thank you so much for your support!! It really means a lot to us. You're absolutely right, every little bit helps for pulling him through this difficult time. He's such a trooper and he's trying so hard, but he's still got a looooooong way to go. Thank you again Xxxx

  • He is a gorgeous boy, even with the infections. :) Can't legal action be taken against this? This is animal abuse! It's illegal! His owners need to grow up and care for their lovely horse. We hope you get better Lenny! :) <3

  • This is so sad who could be so cruel and let this happen to their own horse. I am soooo glad you are trying to save hinm it is soooooooooooooo worth it. Get better soon Lenny. xxx.

  • correction hovis was 33 years old, rip hovis.

  • dont you think the government need to take action with this cruelty, happened where i live The defenceless pet was left with his face and mouth in shreds. His injuries were so bad there was little option but to put the retired 20 yr old shetland pony to sleep. He spent his life serving the community teaching small children to ride and partaking in school and community fetes in the Welwyn and Stevenage areas. rip hovis.

  • Please make link to papal and facebook clicksble

  • :( poor little bubba, he is so handsome! and looks very friendly, who would do that, they must have been mad!

  • This is just so sad. How can anyone treat an animal like this. Some people are just so cruel.

Thank you for looking after him and giving him a fighting chance.
