Chant lyrique, pour chœur et orchestre (1891)
A piece for choir and orchestra by Belgian composer Guillaume Lekeu (1870-1894), who wrote it in June of 1891 as a "dress rehearsal" for the composition of a cantata for the upcoming Prix du Rome. The work was premiered by the Société Royal de l'Emulation in December 1891, and they performed it again three years later commemorating the composer's untimely death.
