Aaron Crow throws in the pen prior to a February 29 start versus the California Bears in the University of San Diego Tournament. Crow got the victory pitching five innings, giving up three runs, surrendering eight hits, walking two and fanning ten. The 6-foot-3, 195 pound junior went 9-4 with a 3.59 earned run average and struck out 90 batters in 118 innings pitched as a sophomore in 2007. The right-hander earned All-Big-12 honors for his efforts. Crow has also been named as a NCBWA, Louisville and Baseball America preseason All-American for 2008. He's considered a top five prospect for the upcoming 2008 First-Year Player Draft in June. Crow pitched for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod League last summer. The native of Wakarusa, Kansas played ball at Washburn Rural High School.

While you were busy buying the keg at the beer distributor this guy was prob at the gym. Not to say he didn't have his fun, but he definitely didn't abuse his college privileges. You tell me what's the better option: Take the nationals money and perform for a shitty team and have 0 endorsements or sit out a year, maybe get drafted by a better city (which unfortunately for him he didn't really) which has more money and more opportunity for endorsements?

Yeah, bc if you were in that position you'd totally take the financially worser option. Don't be naive. He has to do what's financially best for himself and his family. You're not gonna take the most money possible if you've worked your ass off to follow your dream while other kids bullshitted around, got drunk in high school and college, settled for a normal salary job? You guys forget that they get these privileges bc they deserve them. They worked for them.

why on earth would he want to play on such an awful team as the nationals. He obviously felt he could be drafted by a better team the following and not be stuck in such a god awful franchise.

i hope crow hurts his arm, never pitches an inning in the Bigs, ends up working at wal mart, and wakes up every morning regretting that he did not sign with the Nationals because he is a greedy punk. He could have been a multi millionaire, but I guess thats just not enough for a recent college grad.
