Very good ad, nice to see it again. Although the beer itself isn't quite what it used to be it's still quite drinkable, and at around £3 for 4x440ml cans in Tesco and Asda it's quite a bargain.

Great to see this TV ad again. I was the Board Account Director responsible for this commercial at Gold Greenlees Trott. Was it really Graham Rose? I thought it was Richard Sloggett, but I could be wrong. It took a year to get the various permissions we needed for the ad, and these had to come from Warner Brothers, Billy Wilder, and Marilyn Monroe's aunt. I think Steve Henry and Axel Chaldecott were the creative team. Steve Greensted
