The world's largest particle accelerator will try to uncover how the universe began in a $US 5 billion experiment that will start on Wednesday. More than 700 Russian scientists, along with some 9,000 others, are involved in the project which is aimed at replicating The Big Bang.

  • Oh god , you people are stupid! Without particle colliders do you honestly think you would be able to sit there typing away on the internet? The LHC has already been used in the ATLAS experiment with great sucess. And what about this retarded comment from J1npk3r? of course it hear-say! why do you think CERN are doing the experiment? to find the Higgs Boson super particle , thats why! You hippies shoud saty off the internet lol!

  • here they don't see how they are wasting the money for stupid ideas about some big bang that didn't even exist! how much longer are these people waste the public funding and resources of all the people in the world to pay for somebody's stupid ideas??!!!

  • Before you do this , learn Buddhism . If you do this this will be big disastrer for the world. Latest science is a just born baby compared to Buddhism.

  • if we replicate the big bang wont the world explode that would be a very high level of force to start the universe

  • @shakenmikeg14 ikr wat a retard -.-

  • because of this big magnets the mon will be pulled down! the seas will huge! and the world will be destroyed! suckers!

  • @andriesh22 some thing tells me your catholic...

  • Ok i dont believe in the big bang but here is the big picture, if they start up this machine and they cant control it, they could start a catasrtophic event. look scientist are stupid these days, they want to go beyond the bounderies of just discovering something. there desperate, its one thing to discover soomething, its anther thing to try it out.

  • @andriesh22 if they had wanted to use the money for something else they would've already done so :P and it's not a stupid idea! humans were born curious if you aren't then you might not even be a regular human :P

  • @nyle123nyle how would you know? are u even smart enough to know if it would? it didn't create a black hole anyways it said there was a chance not that it would a hundred percent create one :P

  • What a Russiatoday propaganda. The fact is this machines is Owned and Build by CERN: the European organisation for Nuclear research. Other countries besides Europe have Observer status. With Observer status they can have some of their scientists work at the European facility by contributing some funding. It was mostly paid for by European taxpayers (over 87%).

  • there going to end the world
