Checkerboard cichlids need HIGH temps, Goldfish need low! You must have taken care of this by now though...

@anthonymovies4 No, the Dwarf Cichlids are very peaceful, but can bully each other. Which is fun to see! It is totally natural

I love checkerboards.We just got some more in our shop but I never se tham mature as we sell them before they get a chance to grow to adult size.

THEY ALMOST LOOK LIKE GOLDFISH? I thought all cichlid fish are agressive to other fish?

Sorry to say but Goldfish and Tropical Fish (Cardinal Tetra and Checkerboard Cichlids) are not compatbile. They might last for a while, but won't live to the fullest with the heat on the goldfish. I say pick one of the other. If I were you, I would pick the Checkerboard Cichlids and Cardinals!

i just got a pair of the checkerboards cichlids... really beautiful shimmers and colors... kinda hrd to really appreciate throug cam... what temp do u keep the water? the reason i ask is goldfish are cold water fish and u have them with tropicals. nice tank anyways
