  • what kind of yarn is that?

  • Oh man, why'd you have to ask that?? This yarn is some ultra cheap-o stuff I picked up in Vienna a few years back. It's 50/50 wool/fake. The brand name is Steinbach Wolle and the yarn's name is Export.

  • im not sure what im doing wrong, but the front side a i get the ribbed effect but flip it over and the stitches all look the same - purl looking

  • Thank you!!!! I understood the concept of knit 1 purl 1 to get ribs, but it was making all these crazy loops on the needle... I didn't realise you need to switch the new thread front and back each time. It works now!
