The town adjacent to - and built specifically for the workers of - the ill-fated Chernobyl power plant.
The Ukraine town was hastily abandoned by its residents more than twenty-four hours after the disaster, told that they would be allowed to return within three days. It has since been abandoned, looted and destroyed, and nature is taking over. It is uninhabitable by humans; levels of radiation are low enough for short visits, but not for permanent residence. Although, interestingly, the area is home to a thriving wildlife, who seem almost completely unaffected by the conditions.

Nicely done indeed. Only thing is, that not all of the pictures are about Pripyat, some of them are taken in other places of the exclusion zone (Zalesje village, "cemetery" of the helicopters).
